Eurovision 2014

Eurovision took place yesterday in Denmark and 26 European countries were competing. Austria won the first place followed by The Netherlands and Sweden. Personally, I did not like the songs very much, but the stage was amazing, each performance was unique with all the lighting and effects running in the background.

The competition was fierce yet light and the participants from each country were having a blast and acting spontaneously, something I rarely see in the shows on our local TVs.

The winner is actually a transsexual, Conchita Wurst, and she won by having the most votes in 37 European countries which proves how open they are to such matters and shows how talent is appreciated and comes way before the sexual orientation of anyone. That for sure will take centuries before happening in any nearby country from the region if not forever.
