Amazing Carved Candles

I was fascinated while watching this video, finding out about this new way of making candles, beautiful carved candles that is. The degree of mastery of the craftswoman in this video is admirable. I never saw one of these candles in a shop before, I am sure they look even better in real life and when they are lit on. I wonder though if anyone will dare to light them up constantly by fear of melting them 🙂

The Queen is back … well almost

It’s been some years now that the music industry is no longer what it used to be a couple of decades ago. Back then, the launch of a single or an album was such an anticipated event. Nowadays, the hype is almost gone with all the music being leaked prior to its launch, and Madonna is no exception. The Queen is all over the entertainment/music industry since last Tuesday when out of nowhere, her highly anticipated 13th album leaked over the web, which called for an immediate clarification from Madge’s side. Turned out that the songs were only unfinished demos from the recording sessions of the new album, which was i.m.o. relieving because most of them sounded bad and incomplete. To counter this leakage, she released on iTunes 6 finished songs as an “early Christmas gift” and they sound great and leaves all her fans eager for the release of the new album “Rebel Heart” on March 10th 2015 (earlier than expected). The title of the released songs are:

– Ghosttown

– Devil Pray

– Unapologetic Bitch

– Illuminati

– Bitch I’m Madonna (Feat. Nicki Minaj)

– Living for love (seems that it will be the first single)

Her hard work is paying well to a point that although the album is only at pre-order stage, it has already topped the iTunes store’s top albums tally in more than 40 countries and counting!

Beautiful game: Monument Valley

When it comes to games apps, very few stand out in my opinion. I played Monument Valley recently and totally enjoyed everything about it. It looks so simple yet has an excellent design, the music fits perfectly, it’s very colorful, intriguing at points and the controls during game play are very easy. It won the apple design award for 2014. It’s a paid app and features 10 playable chapters with additional 8 chapters available as an in-app purchase. I think it’s totally worth it. Make sure to check it out.

Gadget of the day: olloclip

If you enjoy taking pictures with your iPhone, then this is a must have photography gadget. The new olloclip for iPhone 6 is basically a 4-in-1 lens: fish eye, wide angle,10x and 15x macro. It’s also an improvement from the previous model as it works on both, front and rare cameras. It’s compact, wearable and can easily fit in your pocket on the go. From my own experience, it’s great to use in travel. It comes in different colors, costs 79.99$ and can be a very nice christmas gift.
