The Weeknd – Beauty behind the madness

One of the best new albums to be released soon! Make sure to listen to it and grab a copy. I think “Angel” is easily the stand-out track, excellent song!!!

Ina Wroldsen: My New Sia

Being the musicoholic that I am, I totally love when I stumble upon some unexpected nice surprise and discover new jams. I have no idea how I came across this song and from the first listen it was right up on my playlist and then discovered the acoustic version of it which is as awesome as the original version. You can checkĀ both of them below.

All that I know of Ina is that she is a Norwegian pop start, probably a new rising star there. In case you enjoyed Aliens, you might want to check other songs for her, Rebels and Legion, both just as good! I think I have found my new Sia šŸ™‚

Everyone’s a know-it-all, But will they be there To catch me when I fall

I truly believe that Madonna’s greatest songs were always with theĀ ones she did with the genius William Orbit, they are allĀ masterpieces. And it saddens me to see that instead of working again with him more frequently, sheĀ  keeps onĀ going in the same bad cheapĀ trashy pop direction and making songs that people will forget in few months. I do hope she gets back to working with Orbit.

A few months ago, a demo of hers surfaced and I couldn’t be happier as it was a collabo with Orbit. Titled “Arioso”, the song is clearly unfinished but despite that it sounds really great, dreamy, filledĀ  with Orbit’s signature synths and electro touch, and it finally explained where the “Wonderland” clip came from!

Everyone’s an authority
On who and what is good for me
Who I see, what I wear

Everyone’s a specialist
On where I’ve been
And who I’ve kissed
Choices I should make
The lovers I should take

Everyone’s a connaisseur
How do they know
What makes them so sure
Do they know what’s right for me

Everyone’s a know-it-all
But will they be there
To catch me when I fall
Or have they just come along for the show

The me nobody knows
Just what it’s like, nobody sees
If they could just walk along in my shoes for a while
Then they could see just what it’s like

Everyone’s a specialist
On where I’ve been
And who I’ve kissed
Choices I should make
The lovers I should take

The me nobody knows
Just what it’s like, nobody sees
If they could just walk along in my shoes for a while
Then they could see just what it’s like

The me nobody knows
Just what it’s like
The me nobody knows
Just what it’s like

If they could just walk along in my shoes for a while.

This demo was recorded in 1999 during the sessions for the Music album. The title, literally meaning “airy”, is a type ofĀ soloĀ vocal piece, usually occurring in anĀ operaĀ orĀ oratorio. The song is based on Arioso, Adagio in G from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantata BWV 156, but in the typical sound of William Orbit. The demo also features the mysterious Wonderland sample. Before Arioso surfaced, fans didn’t know the origin of Wonderland for years.
